Letters to my future self

Introduction
In this worksheet, you will write a letter to your future self in 5 years. What do you think your life will be like then? What questions do you have for your future self? Use the following information as inspiration for your personal letter.
đ In 5 years
đĄ Ideas for content:
â
What is important to you in life today â values, wishes, people?
â
What do you dream about when you think of the next 5 years?
â
Who is part of your closest circle today â and why?
â
What questions or concerns do you have when thinking about the future?
â
What currently gives you support, motivation, or confidence?
â
What development do you wish for in the coming years?
â
What do you want to tell your future self in 5 years about your current thoughts and feelings?

đ Now write the letter to yourself.

Time capsule: Add something appropriate
A time capsule preserves memories for the future. You put your letter in an envelope along with small items â e.g. a photo, a list of your favourite songs, a small note with a wish, a ticket or a painted symbol. This capsule remains sealed until you open it again in the future. Then you can see what was important to you in the past, what you dreamed of â and how you have changed. đ
âČ In 5 Years
You can include something with your letter, such as:
- A photo with the people who are particularly important to you today.
- A list of your current hobbies, dreams, or role models.
- A song lyric, quote, or saying that resonates with you right now.
- A small item from your daily life (sticker, button, dried flower).
- Your current signature or a mini self-portrait.
- A newspaper clipping or printout with a current headline.

Here's how it works...
- Put your letter and time capsule contents in an envelope.
- Write on the outside: âDo not open before... â
- Give it to someone you trust â or keep it yourself in a safe place.
- Set yourself a calendar reminder (digital or on paper).
- Do not open the envelope until the specified date.
